So what really happens at a newspaper office?
Where do we get our stories? How do we decide on which stories to cover?
What is the story-behind-the-story - the information that we can't share with you on the pages of the Echo?
That's just some of the stuff that you will find in this new blog, which will take you beyond the pages of your favourite evening newspaper and get you closer to the news that is important to you.
So where to start?
Today's edition of the Echo is a cracker with a bizarre story about our Welsh rugby team and their toilet habits - or rather lack of toilet habits. It's driving their neighbours at the Sophia Gardens training ground potty, if you pardon the pun.
Disappointingly we were unable to print the WRU's reaction today - which I think is a shame as readers will have been interested in their take on it.
We are also following up our Madina Mosque arson attack story from yesterday with some more details on how the community is helping, the man under arrest and the state of the mosque.
Typically the community is rallying to help those affected by the fire - which is great to see.
The background to the arson attack is an interesting story and there is plenty more to report on it in coming days. Watch this space.
An early shout on tomorrow's paper ... more on the mosque fire, a guide to the Children in Need events across the region and pictures of Prince Charles in Merthyr.
It's also your chance to decide on the winner of our cute pets competition - Pet Idol. We had more than 250 entries for this - see them for yourself at www.icwales.co.uk/echopics
