Cardiff Council, like most local authorities, have got their work cut out balancing their books while trying to meet the ever-increasing demands of Government.
Today, we report on the funding crisis at St David's Hall and the New Theatre.
Both are making big losses - but contribute so much to the city.
This comes at a time when the council are slashing budgets to keep within its spending limits so it is quite right that they do take a good, hard look at this situation.
They really are in a no-win situation, though.
The public, quite rightly, demand good public services from local authorities. On the other hand they would not find closing either theatre an attractive thought.
In the current climate, something will have to give.
But both St David's Hall and the New Theatre are fantastic venues for Cardiff and each bring something different to the mix of what makes this a great city.
With a fantastic sense of timing, the WRU decided to release the team for the All Black match at 7.30am - just in time for evening newspapers.
There's a few shocks and we are keen to print a cross-section of opinions in tomorrow's paper.
